~ Chapter 2 ~

Among other things, I am a white, heterosexual male who lives in America. Though these demographics all put me at a distinct advantage in terms of economics and “power” they do not place me at a sexual advantage. In this respect, I think all ethnicities, sexual orientations, genders and cultures are suffering compared to where we can be. I will attempt to get to some core truths while recognizing that I am more capable of understanding myself and those like me than a black, bisexual woman who was born and raised in Vietnam. I have faith that beneath our labels we are very similar in the sexual realm, and our inherited roles must melt away if we are to get to our true selves.
