I strongly advocate that people keep the government out of their relationships. People talk about health insurance benefits and so forth, but this kind of scarcity thinking keeps one stuck and miserable. If you trust that you can live your life with integrity, then there is no reason you will not manifest what you need economically to live in comfort. By becoming legally married, people introduce the government into their relationships which, I believe, in the future will seem extremely naive and unevolved.

Have celebrations of your love for those in your life. Have ceremonies if you wish. Celebrate the love of all of us and recognize the love that is there for everyone veiled by the ego. But stop imitating the past. Stop the surreal and unnecessary marriage between bureaucracy and bonding. The governments of nations are impersonal entities that arise out of the illusion of separation between people of the world. Do nothing to taint your love.
